Summer of 2012, this blog was born while I galavanted across South America (aka studied abroad in Peru) as a way to keep family and friends updated on my experiences. That summer also marked my second trip to the Dominican Republic, a country that holds a special place in my heart. Then along came the summer of 2013, where I spent 5 weeks in the Dominican Republic, working in a girls’ orphanage called Pasitos de Jesús. The Dominican repeatedly changes my life, and I always get the chance to meet some amazing people along the way.

I graduated from the University of Georgia in 2014 with a B.S. in communication disorders. I want to share Jesus with a world who may not know Him. Whether I do that in the United States or end up living in a hut in South America…who knows. I write whenever inspiration strikes — sometimes each week, sometimes not for several months.
